1970s

John T. Pack, B.S. Nursing '77, spoke on the history of men in nursing to the American Assembly of Men in Nursing in Chicago in December 1999. John is the director of the Nursing Resource Center at Miami University.

1980s

Denise M. Nies, M.S.N. '88, has accepted a position as Clinical Specialist/Education Coordinator at Portsmouth HCA Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, N.H.

Tracey Kyzar Davenport, B.S.N. '89, received a Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in May 1999.

1990s

Cheryl Ann Robertson, M.S.N. '90, is an instructor in the Nurse Practitioner Program at George Mason.

Ann Mulqueen, B.S.N. '92 and M.S.N. '94, received a Clinical Practice Award from N.I.H. Clinical Center in 1996, a Clinical Center Director's Award in 1998, and the Clinical Center's Nurse of the Year in 1999.

Christine Ann (Belch) Ouellette, B.S.N. '93, announces the birth of Abigail Nicole Ouellette on January 4, 2000. She joins her sister, Arielle (3), in bringing joy to their parents, Joe and Christine.

Catherine Berzins, B.S.N. '95, will marry Allan Ward III in Warrenton, Va., on May 27, 2000, and she will graduate from Johns Hopkins University on May 25, 2000, with an M.S. in Nursing Management and an M.B.A.

Denise Geolot, Ph.D. Nursing '95, has been appointed as director for the Division of Nursing, Bureau of Health Professions, after serving as acting director of nursing for two and a half years.

Jennifer Wrighte Gerard, B.S.N. '95, married Brett Jacques Gerard, B.A. Government and Politics '95, in May 1997, and they have a son, Nikolas Jacques, born on October 23, 1999.

Wanda Strickland, B.S. Nursing '95, started a consulting company with her partner, Greta Getlein. They provide consulting to hospice and home health companies, specializing in regulatory and reimbursement issues, survey preparation, and education. The name of their company is Mulberry Street, Consultants in Woodbridge, Va.
