1980s

Sandra W. McLeskey, B.S.N. '82, joined the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Nursing as a senior researcher and associate professor in the Department of Adult Health Nursing.

Brenda Smith, M.S.N. '85, earned her Ph.D. in education at the University of Hawaii in Manoa. She is the assistant dean of nursing at Hawaii Pacific University.

Nazanin Dashtara, B.S.N. '89, received her M.S. in public health from San Jose State University in 2000.

1990s

Karen M. Gausman, M.S.N. '91, was named commandant of the Graduate School of Nursing at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md. She is a lieutenant colonel in the Army Nurse Corps.

Edythe McGoff, B.S.N. '93 and M.S.N. '97, is the new manager for the Emergency Department at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.V. She also serves as a flight commander in the West Virginia Air National Guard with a rank of lieutenant colonel.

Brenda Vold, M.S.N. '98, has a rewarding and challenging new position as a primary care provider for adolescents incarcerated in Arizona.

Terris E. Kennedy, Ph.D. '99, has accepted a position as associate dean for academic affairs at Duke University School of Nursing.
