Forensic Team Alumni Chapter
The George Mason Communication Department has named alumna Holly Sisk,
B.A. '98, interim director of forensics for the 2001-02 season. Holly's forensics
career at George Mason included serving three years as captain, three national
championship titles, and membership in the 200 Trophy Club. She coached more than
a dozen students to national finals while serving as assistant director of forensics
at Ohio University (1998-99) and assistant director of forensics and director
of the Rhetorical Scholars Laboratory at Cornell. Holly earned an M.A. in Communication
(Rhetoric) from Ohio University in 2001.
The chapter will host two tournaments in the coming months. The "Return of
the Living Dead" tournament will take place on the Fairfax Campus on October 27,
2001, and the "I Have a Dream" swing weekend, cohosted with Howard University,
will be held on Howard's campus the weekend of January 19-20, 2002. To volunteer

Law Alumni Chapter
The Law Alumni Chapter will sponsor its third annual golf tournament on Saturday,
October 20, 2001. The tournament will start at 8 a.m. on the Penderbrook course
in Fairfax. To sign up, please call Craig Young, J.D. '82, at (202) 662-2760.
On November 17, 2001, the Law Alumni Chapter and the Law School will host an
alumni reunion. The day's events include a student Moot Court Competition, student
and technology displays, tours of the new Law School building, and cocktails,
ceremony, and reunion dinner in the Law School atrium. For more information, please

A reunion and open house to show off Broadside's new office space is planned
for October 12, 2001. The chapter is reorganizing and re-energizing, so please
