1990s

Mark Gianturco, M.S. Information Systems '92, teamed up in 1997 with a friend from his undergraduate years at the College of William and Mary to start Strategic INFO, a technology company for the health care industry. The company and its suite of product offerings are gaining momentum after a recent $2 million strategic capital infusion from Pfizer Inc.

Michael P. O'Donnell, B.S. Urban Systems Engineering '94, serves in a U.S. Navy construction battalion, known as a Seabee, in Everett, Wash., and is the officer in charge of CBU-421. As such, he supervises the $1 million of construction project support by his 40-person Seabee unit.

Kerry L. Sears, B.S. Urban Systems Engineering '97, completed a master's degree in mechanical and environmental engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 2000. He is a surface water quality specialist for GeoSyntec Consultants.

Brian Alves, M.S. Systems Engineering '98, and his wife, Mary Jane Alves, J.D. '96, live in Alexandria, Va., with their daughter, Madeline Lindsay, who was born July 5, 2000. Brian works for the U.S. Navy, acquiring electronic systems for submarines.

Erik Spencer, B.S. Urban Systems Engineering '98, is a senior project engineer for William H. Gordon Associates in Leesburg, Va.
