investigator for the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration.
R. Don Short, J.D. '83, was elected Commonwealth's Attorney for Louisa
County, Va., on January 1, 2000.
1990s
Joseph F. Jackson, J.D. '90, joined the law firm of Williams Mullen
Clark and Dobbins in Tysons Corner, Va., where he assists clients with various
corporate matters and serves as corporate counsel to firms throughout Northern
Virginia.
Ralph P. Albrecht, J.D. '97, an IP attorney, is coleader of the Patent
Prosecution Practice Group in the firm where he works. He has two children, Rachel
Nicole (4) and Christopher Joseph (2).
Heather D. Dawson, B.S. Administration of Justice '97, is an attorney
at Odin, Feldman and Pittleman, P.C., in Fairfax, Va. She earned her J.D. from
South Texas College of Law.
William M. Vermette, J.D. '98, joined the Tysons Corner, Va., office
of Williams Mullen Clark and Dobbins as an associate in the firm's banking team.
David W. Ward, B.S. Electrical Engineering '83 and J.D. '98, joined
the law firm of Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis LLP as an associate in its Washington,
D.C., office. Ward worked as an electrical engineer with American Electronic Laboratories
Inc. and Science Applications International Corporation before attending law school.
Allison Taylor Legge, J.D. '99, joined the firm of Williams Mullen Clark
and Dobbins as an associate in the firm's Tysons Corner, Va., office.
2000s
John Daniel Pond III, J.D. '00, is an associate with the law firm of
Napier, Pond, Athey and Athey P.C. and practices civil and criminal litigation
from the firm's office in Front Royal, Va. He also serves as vice president of
the Warren County Bar Association.
