When novelist Liam Callanan, MFA '01, (left) traveled to Alaska to do research for his novel The Cloud Atlas, he never expected to run into a fellow Mason alumnus. Aaron Micallef, BA History '94, MA History '96, (right) is director of education and public programs at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. Callanan returned to Anchorage earlier this year for a book discussion, a visit facilitated by Micallef.
