Hubler Named VP for University Life

Sandra Hubler has been appointed George Mason's new vice president for university life. Following an extensive national search, she replaces Karen Rosenblum, who held the position for seven years.

Hubler comes to George Mason from Menlo College in California where she was vice president for student affairs and enrollment management. In that position, she supervised personnel in areas ranging from admissions, housing, and student activities to intercollegiate athletics, international student services, and academic advising. She had been with Menlo College since 1997.

She received the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators' 2003 Scott Goodnight Award for Outstanding Services as a Dean of Students. In 2002, she was a J. William Fulbright Scholar under the U.S. Administrators in International Education Program.

Hubler earned an EdD in international and multicultural education at the University of San Francisco, an MA in college student personnel administration at Ohio State University, and a BA in physical education at the College of Wooster.
