Alumna Directs Operations at New Loudoun Site

Sondra Patrick, PhD Education ’97, a veteran educator with 25 years experience in higher education, including 10 at Mason, is director of operations for Mason’s new Loudoun County site. Patrick will be responsible for managing the site’s daily operations, developing operating procedures and strategies, and promoting and representing Mason to local communities and businesses. In addition, she will provide financial management for the site.

“I am pleased to welcome Sondra back to Mason,” says President Alan Merten. “She has long been a part of our family, having graduated from here and having worked here. She will be an integral part of ensuring the success of our Loudoun programs.” Patrick’s past service at Mason includes program director for the Program in Support of Teaching and Learning, associate director of the University Project on Teaching and Learning, and educational research consultant and special projects coordinator for the Provost’s Office and University Life.

During her absence from Mason, Patrick was coordinator of institutional assessment at Marymount University and an assistant professor of higher education administration at George Washington University. Most recently, she served as dean of the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and the DeVry University Center at Tysons Corner.
