Dear Alumni:
What an exciting time to be Mason alumni. Patriot pride is everywhere, and our alumni are increasingly finding ways to stay connected.
Do your friends and colleagues know that you are a Patriot? By telling others that you attended Mason, you not only expand your network, but you help build the reputation of your alma mater.
The Alumni Association leadership has set its goals high this year, with expectations of significantly increasing alumni participation and involvement. Last year, we achieved the goal of listing 20,000 e-mail-addressable alumni and 10,000 registrants on the online directory. But our organization is 107,000 members strong, and we still have a lot of ground to cover to keep all of you informed about university developments and opportunities for involvement.
We posted a record number of alumni events on our web site last year, and we expect to offer an even wider range this year, including special targeted workshops for our newest graduates and several new events. Check out our web site (www.gmu.edu/alumni) for events ranging from sports and recreational activities to professional networking events. Make sure your contact information is current by registering on the online directory. Our aim is to offer fun, informative, and meaningful experiences for our members.
