The George W. Johnson Center, the Fairfax Campus’ primary gathering place for current and prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests, as well as home to the Office of Alumni Affairs, celebrated its 10th anniversary on April 7 with a huge cake. When the building opened in 1996, it was the first of its kind in the country, combining a student union with academic endeavors. The center still remains an innovative facility, serving the function of community builder with its open areas for eating, lounging, and studying, as well as access to various learning support services.
