Every May a great event happens on the George Mason University campus. Several thousand new alumni are added to the university community that is the essence of Mason. Student life for these individuals gives way to new goals and new challenges. What does not change is their commitment to Mason and the classmates and roommates they each leave behind.
The Alumni Association reflects the commitment Mason alumni have to give back to their university. We do this because someone before us gave back and helped us succeed by providing scholarships, mentoring, and advice. Support comes in many different forms: a résumé workshop for students, a contact for an internship, or help in planning a student event. Alumni involvement is a critical part of the essence of the university, and it is what makes Mason such a special place.
So we welcome our new members into the Alumni Association and look forward to gaining new ideas and involvement as they take their turn to give back as other alumni have done before them. We look forward to seeing everyone at a future event.
Once a Patriot, always a Patriot.
