Homecoming 2003 Set for February 22

Alumni are encouraged to return to campus on Saturday, February 22, when the Patriots take on its CAA rival, the James Madison Dukes, for Homecoming 2003. The 2 p.m. men’s basketball game is preceded by the annual Homecoming block party at the Patriot Center, held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Lot L. Plan on staying after the game for a 6:45 p.m. fireworks presentation over Mason Pond.

Discounted game tickets for Homecoming are available to alumni for $6 by calling (703) 993-3270 and mentioning that you’re an alumnus. Each order will receive a voucher for a special alumni spirit item.

This year’s block party features an appearance by Washington’s 104 (WWZZ 104.1 FM), games, music, giveaways, and a moonbounce. Refreshments will be available for purchase, or you may bring your own. Blocks are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so no reservations are needed. If you want other alumni to know that your group will be represented at Homecoming, send an e-mail message to Heidi Kibirsky in Alumni Affairs at [email protected]. Include your group’s name (e.g., “Club Football Alumni” or “TKE Alumni”) and a contact person with phone number or e-mail address. The February issue of MasonWire will include a list of alumni groups that plan to attend. We hope to see you there!
