Donna D. Gordon, B.A. History '76, is a computer scientist for MRJ and is completing an M.B.A. program at Georgetown University. Kerry L. Miller, B.A. Sociology '77, has been appointed administrative law judge at the Government Printing Office, effective March 1, 1999. Christine Doner, B.A. English '79, is a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and has been appointed Vice President Private Client Group. 1980s Melanie (Keck) Doon, B.A. English '83, is a proposal coordinator for SRA International, in Fairfax, Va. She resides in Springfield with her husband, Michael Doon, son Sean (5), and daughter Erin (1). Dorian J. Hughes, B.A. English '85, is a lawyer with Albo & Oblon, L.L.P., and practices civil litigation at the firm's Arlington, Va., office. 1990s Mike Ehtesham, B.A. Economics '90, is operations assistant for the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association in Alexandria, Va. He and his wife, Connie, have a son and a daughter. Michelle (Naylon) Faber, B.A. Government and Politics '90, married Patrick Faber in August 1998, built a new home in South Riding, Va., and became the proud parent of Matthew Erik, born May 20, 1999. Ken Lawwill, M.S. Biology '90, earned a D.Ed. in curriculum and instruction at Virginia Tech and is an engineering physics instructor at Chantilly High School in Fairfax County, Va. Denise Zemlak, B.A. Psychology '90, is working on an R.N. degree at Catonsville Community College in Maryland. She is engaged to Scott Beveridge and planning a July 2000 wedding. Anita Zuberi, B.S. Psychology '90, and her husband, Sean, are owners of Alternative Pet Care/Dog Guys, a pet-sitting and dog-walking company with 50 employees in Fairfax, Va. They also own two locations of MAID TO PLEASE, a residential cleaning company in Sterling, Va., and Gaithersburg, Md., with an additional 100 employees. Economics '91, is a computer scientist for the federal government and completing his thesis for a M.S. in information systems at Strayer University. Stephen Howard, B.S. Geology '91, is pursuing a M.S. in structural engineering at the University of Colorado and working as a project geologist for Golder Associates. Donna Alelia (Lundy) Kasman, B.A. English '91, obtained a legal assistant certificate from Georgetown Law School, married in 1992, and lives with her husband and four-year-old son in Philadelphia, Pa. Paul Kensler, B.S. Geology '91, was married in March 1999 and lives in Plano, Tex., where he is a special events manager for Williams Global Access. Pauline Lanciotti, B.A. History '91, is a volunteer at Friendship Hill National Historic Site in Point Marion, Pa. Amanda K. Matthiesen, B.A. Government and Politics '91, is a lobbyist for the Health Insurance Association of American (HIAA). David Scott Barber, B.A. English '92, teaches students with discipline problems at Mt. Vernon High School in Alexandria, Va., during the day, and heads up a popular musical group called Hot Buttered Elvis (www.hotbutteredelvis.com) at night. Michele Randall Carll, B.A. Sociology '92, is the mother of triplets (two boys and a girl) who were featured in the Los Angeles Times and on the TV show Friends. She married Paul Carll in 1992, and they moved to L.A. in 1995. Barbara Jo (Hornback) Scott, B.A. English Literature '92, married Kevin C. Scott and they have a son, Mason Charles Scott. D. Margaret M. (Mach) Seaman, B.S. Chemistry '92, was married this year and works as a primary patent examiner for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of the Department of Commerce. Robert Strange Jr., B.S. Biology '92, a medical doctor working at Penn State University-Hershey Medical Center, is the recipient of the National Research Service Award from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. He is in the fourth year of a seven-year general surgical residency. Horace Lyndon Blackman, B.A. American Studies '93, received an M.B.A. degree from The Darden School at the University of Virginia in May 1999, and is working for Booz-Allen & Hamilton in New York City. Rosa Angela Cruz, B.A. International Studies '93, has been promoted from associate producer to morning news producer at WTVR-News 6, a CBS affiliate, in Richmond, Va. Stefano Paolo Flori, B.A. Speech Communication '93, directs live television programs for America's Voice Television, a national network with 20 million viewers. Barbara (Kukrus) Knauf, B.A. Government and Politics '93, married Arthur Knauf Jr., in November 1998, and they reside in Heuvelton, N.Y. Amy Leahy, B.A. International Studies '93, received an M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina in May 1998 and is currently an assistant director in the career center at Clemson University. She is engaged to Stephen Shutts of Atlanta, Ga., and planning a July 1, 2000, wedding in Richmond, Va. Valerie K. Orlando, M.A. Foreign Languages '93, is an assistant professor of French at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Ill., and the author of Nomadic Voices of Exile: Feminine Identity in Francophone Literature of the Maghreb (Ohio University Press). Dale Dehlin, B.A. English '94, married Terri Calnan in 1995, and their son, Bryce Jordan, was born in 1996. Stephen Gyamfi, B.S. Public Administration '94 and M.A. International Transactions '97, is the founder and president of Global Gateway Consulting (GGC), an information technology consulting and training firm in Alexandria, Va. Brandy Andrews, B.A. Art Studio '95, a freelance artist and mother of three, paints commercial and residential wall murals. Shawn Brann, B.A. English and Communication '95 and M.Ed. '99, has switched careers and now teaches English at Woodbridge High School in Prince William County, Va. He was with ADI Technical Corporation for the previous 4.5 years. Allison M. Goldstein, B.A. English '95, left WFLS Radio in Fredericksburg and took a position at 105.7 The River in Richmond, Va. She also works at Riverside Dinner Theater as an actress and singer. Fredrick Jorgensen, B.A. International Studies '95, is an account executive with Gardner Geary Coll & Young in San Francisco, Calif., where he manages the webvan.com and Diamond Nuts advertising accounts. Kelleigh Mahoney, B.A. English and Art '95, graduated from Old Dominion University with an M.S. in secondary education in 1998 and works in the outreach and education division of the Portsmouth Museums as a liaison between the local schools and museums promoting art education. Kevin Martin, B.A. International Studies '95, is a United States Air Force C-130 co-pilot stationed at Pope Air Force Base, N.C. Tami (Dimock) O'Brien, B.A. English '95, married Paul O'Brien on April 24, 1999, in Middleburg, Va. The couple resides in Centreville, Va. In September, Tami became assistant director of Alumni Affairs at George Mason University. Jennifer Sabatino, B.A. Biology '95, married Steven Sabatino, B.A. Psychology '97, on May 1, 1999, in Norfolk, Va. Steve works for Enterprise Leasing Co. of Philadelphia, Pa., and Jennifer is a teacher at Springside School, Burlington Township in New Jersey. After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Mt. Laurel, N.J. Scott Sizer, B.A. Geography '95, works for Loudoun County, Va., in the Office of Mapping and Geographic Information and has completed an M.A. in Geography from West Virginia University. Justine M. Tafe, B.A. Government and Politics '95, has recently become a special agent/criminal investigator for the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Office of Export Enforcement, Washington, D.C. Piers Osborne, B.S. Earth Science Systems '96, is a fire fighter with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. Charlotte Rooney, B.A. Government and Politics '96, married Josh Scandlen, B.A. Economics '97, on August 31, 1999, in Cave Creek, Ariz., and they are living in Phoenix. Kristi Tunstall, B.A. Sociology '96, is working on an M.F.A. in Historic Preservation at Savannah College of Art and Design. Samit Verma, B.A. Communication '96, has been working in the news room at Voice of America as a news writer. Michael L. Whitlock, B.A. Government and Politics '96, spent part of April and May in Germany and Belgium as a guest of the German government as a participant in the Manfred Worner Seminar, a program for American young professionals in defense and national security focusing on German-American foreign policy. Last fall, he began law school at the University of Virginia. Lynn Zurndorfer, B.A. Psychology '96, an LD teacher in Prince William County, Va., earned a M.Ed. in special education at James Madison in 1998, and is engaged to Brad Collins. Jennifer Brandt, B.A. Psychology '97, graduated from Marymount University in 1998 with a M.Ed. and is now an ESL teacher at Westmore Elementary School in Fairfax. Mary Elizabeth (Duncan) Harvey, B.A. Communication '97, has relocated to Lindsborg, Kan., where she is an admissions counselor for Bethany College, and her husband, Brian, is a resident director. Karimah Smith, B.A. Government and Politics '97, is a senior data quality consultant in the Information Communication Technology department of American Management Systems in Fairfax, Va. Lisa B. (Varner) Wilkins, B.S. Biology '97, married John D. Wilkins, M.A. Sociology '96, in 1996. Lisa will start work on an M.S. in environmental studies at Longwood College in the summer of 2000, and John is in his third year of the Ph.D. in Sociology program at Virginia Tech. Joe Little, B.A. Speech Communication '98, received an M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University in 1999 and is a news reporter at WHAG, the NBC affiliate in Hagerstown, Md. He is engaged to Stacey Belisle, B.S. Psychology '99, and they are planning a July 2000 wedding. Dawn Lawson Morrison, M.A. Telecommunications '98, was elected National Corresponding Secretary of Blacks in Government (BIG) at the organization's annual National Training Conference in New Orleans. She also received the Meritorious Service Award, which is the second highest honor in BIG. Josh Semerjian, B.A. Speech Communication '98, started a new job at the University of Denver as a communications technician for the Department of Campus Safety. He plans to start a master's program there in digital media studies. Sally A. Streater, B.A. Studio Art '98, is a graphic designer for American Management Systems in Fair Lakes, Va. Darby Lynn Wiggins, B.A. Government '98, is a crime scene investigator and latent print examiner for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office in West Palm Beach, Fla., and is working on a master's degree in criminology at Florida State University. Jodi Johnson LeBlanc, B.A. Communication '99, married Robert A. LeBlanc on September 26, 1999, and has two stepdaughters, Lauren (10) and Alyssa (8), as well as new baby, Kylie.
