1970s

Barbara Carroll, B.S.N. '77, received a three-year, $470,000 grant from the Duke Endowment to implement a transition program for youth with sickle cell anemia, stroke, hemophilia, or brain tumors. Barbara is employed at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, S.C.

Ellen Davis, B.S.N. '79 and M.S.N. '86, owns and operates the Aurora Home, Inc. where she has served as administrator since 1997. Ellen also is vice president of Horizons Home Care, Inc., which opened in January 2001.

1990s

Joanne Langan, M.S.N. '94 and Certificate in Nursing Education '95, is an assistant professor at Saint Louis University School of Nursing.

Catherine Ward, B.S.N. '95, graduated with an M.S.N./M.B.A. joint degree from Johns Hopkins University on May 25, 2000, and now works at Accordant Health Services as a medical economics analyst. Catherine married Allan Ward III on May 27, 2000, in Warrenton, Va. The couple lives in Greensboro, N.C.

Marilyn McDaniel, B.S.N. '98, graduated from Old Dominion University on December 17, 2000, with an M.S.N. and certificate in anesthesia. She and her husband, John, are relocating to Hattiesburg, Miss.
