Merry Old England Tops for Mason’s Study Abroaders!

By Jason Jacks on June 21, 2011

England, the land of pubs, royals, and motorists who drive on the left side of the road, tops the list of most popular destinations for students looking to study abroad through Mason’s Center for Global Education.

The list is definitely top-heavy with European locales, with Italy and Spain taking the two and three spots. But other continents are also represented, with China the most popular Asian country, Ecuador tops for South American countries, and Kenya leading the way for African nations. Here’s the complete list:

1. England
2. Italy
3. Spain
4. China
5. France
6. Ecuador
7. Greece
8. Israel and Palestine
9. Argentina
10. Kenya
By the way, you don’t have to be a student to take part in a Mason-sponsored study abroad program. Faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the general public can also spend time expanding their brain power in a foreign country.
Come on! Let’s try to get a North American country on the list, too. I hear Canada is nice this time of year.
