Greetings, Mason Alumni!

Greetings, Mason Alumni

The Alumni Association worked right through the summer, and now staff and board volunteers prepare for our annual Alumni Weekend (September 29 to October 2, 2011) and Homecoming (February 2012). Reconnecting alumni with each other and the university is central to the mission of the Alumni Association.

I am particularly mindful, as we begin the 2011–12 year, that reaching our nearly 140,000 (and counting) alumni is a significant task. It’s important to realize that there is no alumni community without “U.” You can have a significant impact on your Mason legacy by reaching out to alumni in your neighborhood, at your office, within your worship communities, or even at the local gym.

The key is to tell people that you are a part of the Mason community—hang a Mason flag at your door, show your pride with Mason’s license plates, display your Mason degree at your office, and wear your favorite Mason gear wherever you go. The secret to reaching our alumni community really is about each of us sharing our Mason pride with everyone we know.

Go Patriots!
