1970s

Bill Beyer, B.S. Business Administration '72, received his J.D. and master of laws in taxation from Georgetown University. He has been an adjunct professor of law there since 1994 and has been married to Emily Alvord Beyer, M.B.A. '80, for 25 years.

Ray Scheuring, B.S. Business Administration '72, received an Exemplary Civilian Service Medal for designing and developing the homepage for the secretary of the Air Force (financial management and comptroller).

1980s

Richard Deemer, B.S. Accounting '80, is the director of finance and accounting for Richmond Goodwill Industries.

John C. Kotwicki, B.S. Management '85 and B.S. Accounting '94, announces the birth of his son, Jesse James Kotwicki, on February 11, 1998.

Gerald S. Smith, B.S. Decision Science '86, is working as a senior spacecraft power engineer at the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (INTELSAT) in Washington, D.C.

1990s

David C. Atkins, B.S. Decision Sciences '90, received a master of divinity degree from Howard University School of Divinity on May 9, 1998.

Bryan Herbert, M.B.A. '91, started a computer consulting business, e Frame, Inc., which specializes in Internet commerce. Brian and his wife, Martha, remodeled their 1923 home in Denver, Colo.

Joan M. Pennylegion, B.S. Accounting '93, is the general manager of U.S. Customs Service Federal Credit Union in Washington, D.C.

Kristin A. Regan, B.S. Business Administration '94, is a program analyst with the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C., and also a student in Virginia Tech's M.B.A. program.

Tewodros (Ted) Seifu, B.S. Accounting '95, is married and has a one-year-old son.

Yolanda E. Lovitt, B.S. Accounting '96, is an accountant with Leonard S. Birnbaum & Company and lives in Alexandria, Va.

Sandra Morris, B.S. Marketing '96, is the volunteer services coordinator for Inova Fair Oaks Hospital and plans the activities of more than 400 volunteers.

Jeff Altman, M.B.A. '97, and Donna Altman proudly announce the birth of their son, David Benjamin, on April 17, 1998. Jeff is currently a finance manager with MCI Communications.

Rob Garrett, B.S. Finance '97, is the exclusive representative for Cutter & Buck apparel, promoting a line specifically for corporations and their employees.
