Sandra (Brown) Andrews, M.Ed. Guidance and Counseling '69, received the Golden Eagle Award from Fairfax County for supporting the needs of students of diverse racial, ethnic, status, and language backgrounds.James B. Council, Jr., M.Ed. '75, has finished 32 years with Prince William County Schools, where his responsibilities are in the areas of curriculum supervisor for music, art, health/ PE, and driver education.
Margaret Shumate Harvey, B.S. Education '86, taught in Pitt County, N.C., for two years after graduation and started a family (two sons). In 1995, she started a Montessori school with two partners.
Katherine Grossenbacher, B.S. Early Childhood Education '91, is on leave from teaching while living in Naples, Italy, with her husband, a Navy admiral. She has traveled to 18 countries since July 1996 and will return to Fairfax, Va., this fall.
Regla Armengol, M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction '94, has been named the 1998 Fairfax County Teacher of the Year.
Luis A. Moreira, M.Ed. Bilingual Special Education '95, lives in Atlanta, Ga., and teaches Spanish for Fulton County Schools. He is planning to attend Georgia State University to work toward an Ed.D. in administration and supervision.

Nancy Petracich Sindle, M.Ed. Instructional Technology '96, announces the birth of her son, Benjamin Robert, on March 31, 1998.
Christy Thu-Trinh Denslow Tyner, M.Ed. Early Childhood Education '96, teaches first grade in the Bay District Schools of Panama City, Fla.
