Chapter News
"Cesar's work on the site has been a major factor in the success of our organization," says Michelle Hankins, Broadside Alumni Association president. "His efforts to create an online presence for the group has proven to be one of the best ways we can reach alumni." In addition to the website, the group is using electronic distribution lists to inform members about events and opportunities. One member informed list subscribers about a contract position available through his company. Another has discussed job and internship openings for several of the nation's largest newspapers. The association's officers are using the electronic arena to hold discussions, plan events, and vote on agenda items. Members even have used the list to look for roommates from among a group of people with common interests.
